Nielsen Sports Belgium – located in Brussels – is looking to improve its Client Services team with a new:

 

Account Manager

 

In this role you’ll be responsible for managing projects in Belgium, from market research and digital listening analysis to media evaluation studies, together with our data and analytics teams. You’ll be the main point of contact for our clients, working on writing research proposals, briefing the data team, creating tailor-made reports, translate data into valuable insights, supporting clients in their marketing strategy built from our data and making sure clients are satisfied with our data and insights.

 

Our analysis and recommendations are essential for our clients in order to optimize their partnership. You’ll be working with some of the biggest brands (incl. Nationale Loterij, Proximus, Telenet, Orange, AXA, BNP Paribas Fortis, Carrefour and more) and top rights holders (incl. Golazo Sports, RBFA, Pro League, all football clubs, Deceuninck Quick Step Cycling Team, Basketball League and Federation and more) in the Belgian sports industry.

Key Responsibilities:

⦁    Maintain client relationship, by meeting all of your clients’ needs in terms of media evaluation projects (e.g. audiences, media values), market research studies, digital listening analysis and more
⦁    Translate databases delivered by our data teams into valuable insights for your clients
⦁    Create meaningful reports including key facts, recommendations and more
⦁    Present insights at clients and support in the follow-up
⦁    Identify needs and expectations from existing clients to renew projects, and increase revenue

We see these as essential qualities of a strong candidate:

⦁    Digital-oriented with at least 3 years of professional experience in the sports marketing or digital industry 
⦁    Master degree in similar areas
⦁    Strong client focus, proactive to engage clients, excellent client service skills
⦁    Flemish (Dutch) native, fluent in spoken and written English and French
⦁    Detail-oriented, proficient in collaborating with cross-functional teams, have the ability to perform detailed analysis and possesses strong communication skills
⦁    Self-start, autonomous, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 
⦁    High aptitude for learning new skills and the willingness to tackle new challenges
⦁    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint 
⦁    Knowledge of the sports marketing industry and sports in general, and also the aspiration to be a professional in the industry is preferred
