About the Job

The Manager, PowerBI Development, will be responsible for implementing these projects on modernized Business Intelligence infrastructure, supporting clients across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Measuring what consumers buy is at the core of Nielsen. We track consumer behavior for more than 250,000 households in 25 countries through our industry-leading consumer panel, which is a part of the Consumer Intelligence business. We also work with clients across the FMCG industry on research & analytic projects to unlock growth opportunities for their brands. 


  • Work as an expert to convert Consumer Panel & Survey data into Power BI Dashboards

  • Maintain existing deliverables in Power BI for both USA and Europe & APAC region.

  • Drive consistency in deliverables created for clients from different parts of the world.

  • Manage data transformation (e.g. using Python) and data presentation (Power BI).

  • Train subsequent new hires into a similar role to drive continuity and consistency.

  • This role will evolve over time as new members join the team and we develop more projects in PowerBI.

  • Collaborate with modeling/analytic teams to define the best approach based on Client needs & cost efficiency.

  • Partner with client consultants on data visualization options and optimize design.

  • Work seamlessly with Nielsen associates across geographies on a daily basis.

  • SAS, Python and SQL expertise. Knowledge of other programming tools is an asset (R, VBA)

  • Foundational knowledge of statistical methods

  • Desire to understand new statistical approaches (cluster analysis, factor analysis, regression, segmentation, etc.)

  • Strong Excel skills (data inputs for PowerBI are received in Excel/CSV)

  • Familiarity with other visualization tools like Tableau, Spotfire etc.

  • MS Office & Google suite
