Confidence levels are back up, as consumers are feeling a little better about jobs and some spending
Canada is bucking a global trend, with consumer confidence up after two consecutive quarters of declining optimism. Canada’s confidence level was up to 100 in the final quarter of 2013, a three point jump.
The Nielsen Global Consumer Confidence Index measures views about job prospects, personal finances and the ability and willingness to spend. These economic indicators are captured in a consumer confidence level.
